Accessibility

Neighborhood

The Cabin at Snail Trail is located in Cherry Log near the top of a remote mountain with only 6 other homes. The cabin is only 25 minutes from Downtown Ellijay or 30 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge, and even closer to many adventures like hiking, fishing, hunting, kayaking, tubing, gem-mining, apple-picking and more.

Guest Access

Guests will be able to access the entire cabin and entire property. The cabin sits on 2-acres, and guests are welcome to explore the trails we blazed with our children. Please keep in mind that the trails are homemade and not professionally maintained, and traverse down a steep hill so walking sticks and sturdy shoes are recommended.

Good to know

Outdoor space: Before you enter the home, you're greeted with beautiful mountain and forest views and sounds of the noisy creek below. The front porch has several comfortable seating options if you'd like to take in the scenery. Soak in the hot tub (and the views!) on the lower porch. The flat, forested yard is safe for children and perfect for pets. The large fire pit is perfect to enjoy the outdoors some s'mores late into the evening. This cabin sits on 2-acres on a remote mountain with only 6 other homes, so soak in the solitude! Living room: Walk through the front door into the living room, with a cozy couch facing a stone, wood-burning fireplace. The coffee table and wooden bench both open to reveal board games, card games, puzzles, kid-friendly books and more. A bundle of firewood is provided at no cost for your first fire. Kitchen: Beyond the living room is our recently renovated kitchen complete with all the essentials to make yourself at home. The brand new 5-burner gas range is a crowd favorite! The pancake griddle burner is perfect for a pancake brunch with your loved ones. Non-breakable dishes, and an assortment of drinking glasses and wine glasses are available. A brand new dishwasher makes cleanup easy! The dining table comfortably seats 4 adults, and an extra folding chair and high-chair is provided to seat a 5th adult or child. Primary bedroom: Drop your things in the dresser or hang them on the garment rack and sink into the comfy queen bed. Gaze out the window to peep those mountain views from the bed - there's nothing better! Secondary bedroom: This bedroom is loved by kids, and adults find it comfy too! The twin-over-full bunk comfortably sleeps 3 children, or 2-3 adults if they want to relive their childhood! A TV in this bedroom has a built-in DVD player, and you can find several family friendly DVDs for some entertainment on a rainy day. Full bathroom: Recently updated bathroom features a bathtub/shower, and will be complete with enough towels, wash clothes and hand towels for your stay. Getting there: Several miles of gravel roads lead you to our cabin, and the final 1/2 mile requires an AWD or 4WD vehicle. Please plan accordingly :) Plan to disconnect: Mountain life is slowwwwww, and so is our Wi-Fi (no really, it’s very slow!). Please do not plan to surf or stream. Plan to relax! Cellular signal is also very sparse, but the Wi-Fi, while not great for surfing/streaming, is typically good enough to complete a call and send wi-fi enabled text messages.

Other Details to Note

The final 1/2 mile ascent up to the cabin requires AWD or 4WD. Please only book our cabin if you will be driving an AWD or 4WD vehicle. SLOW Internet (3 Mbps). Plan to RELAX, don't plan to surf/stream or work if Wi-Fi is required for your work. We're happy to recommend local coffee shops in town if you need to get some work done during your stay! We are not able to offer refunds outside of our cancellation policy. Please consider purchasing travel insurance in case you need to cancel outside of our cancellation policy. By making a reservation, you acknowledge that you may be required to provide a copy of a valid government-issued ID and sign a rental agreement prior to your stay. You understand that your check-in instructions might be withheld until you have successfully completed verification steps in our guest portal.

My husband and I took a weekend vacation here and it was beautiful. Very scenic and quiet. It is the perfect place to stay if visiting the north ga mountains. It’s located only an hour from HELEN

Our family of 4 had a great stay! Kids enjoyed the DVDs and games. We all enjoyed the hit tub. We took advantage of the trail behind the cabin. Saw two deer and then even saw a bear from a safe distance! You definitely need AWD, but it’s worth it for the views. Best view I’ve had at a cabin.

Peaceful, secluded and serene is how best to describe the Cabin at Snail Trail! We came looking to get away / off the grid and that’s exactly what it provided. Sitting outside and reading a book, you can hear the near by river, making it such a tranquil environment! The 4W/AW drive was very helpful to climb the mountain, but wasn’t as scary of an ascent as I imagined - very doable! We tried to hike around the cabin but it was too steep for our liking so we hiked down the mountain and explored the valley, which was beautiful! It was exactly like the pictures and honestly a perfect mountain, cozy getaway.

What a wonderful cabin! Beautiful views and a gorgeous extremely functional cabin! The place was so nice and clean and had everything you could need. The front porch was ideal! It maybe small but it was such a nice surprise to see the gate on the front porch so that I could let my dogs loose on the porch. Everything about t it was perfect! The hosts are super quick and responsive as well, which was extremely helpful being we had a little hick up. This is a place to come and disconnect, quiet the noise of the world, and enjoy the calm. Exactly what we needed ❤️

Wow! Can we just move in?! This was one of the best AirBnB experiences EVER and I’ve stayed in quite a few! This place was exactly what we were looking for when booking a quiet, remote getaway to relax and celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. It felt so secluded and peaceful yet 30 minutes away to some wonderful restaurants and shops. We enjoyed the views from the porch and hot tub and even got to see deer, turkeys and a bear in the ride through the valley below. The cabin was equipped with everything we needed for a wonderful stay and they even went out of their way to accommodate a few special requests before checkin. Emily was super responsive and had some wonderful eating recommendations- both the Wood Fire Pizza and Butcher & Bottle in Ellijay were delicious! I can’t wait to return- this place is perfect and we would love to come back in the fall. What an absolutely amazing getaway. Thank you for sharing your place with us for this special occasion.

The Snail Trail was a great cabin for the weekend! It’s a perfect primitive spot to enjoy the wilderness. The mountain view was great from the upstairs bedroom and porch, as well as from the bottom patio and hot tub! We were also very impressed at how clean and free of dust/cobwebs etc. this mountain cabin was! The hiking trail behind the cabin is great too but the only way to find out about it is to read the reviews here! I was also able to easily get to the cabin in my SUV, and didn’t need to turn on 4WD. The climb is certainly steep though! Would also recommend downloading movies on Netflix prior, as the only dvd player is in the 2nd bedroom. What a great cabin, we wished we could have stayed longer!

We had the best stay at Emily and Bram’s cabin! The place was pristine & the space felt extremely home-y. We were able to stream TV with very few interruptions to the internet. The only thing I will say (& this is nothing negative to the cabin or the owners) is the drive up to the cabin is TOUGH, especially since we arrived in the dark (they aren’t joking about needing 4WD and arriving before dark LOL). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & have already talked about staying here again in the near future! 😊

The cabin is just as stated and a perfect mountain getaway. The drive getting there is so scenic and beautiful. You’ll find out shortly after turning on the final summit why you need a 4x4. My Bronco handle the hike up the perfectly. The drive up is well worth it because the views are stunning. We enjoyed taking in all the natural beauty soaking in the hot tub after playing all day near Blue ridge, or Ellijay. My pups loved it too. There’s just something so special about the Georgia mountains. If you’re looking for a peaceful, private and beautiful retreat, this is it. It rained the days we were there off and on but IMO rain is so magical in the mountains. Our hosts were great, too. Responsive, and communicated anything we needed to know. I’ll definitely be back! Thank you Emily and Bram!

This was a perfect getaway for a few days. We enjoyed the hot tub and the sunset every single night. The view from the upper and lower porch was beautiful and so peaceful. The cabin itself was wonderful and had everything that we needed. Emily and Bram were amazing hosts!
